GRAZIA CARRARA

 

I was born in Verona (Italy) and graduated at the Institute of Arts as a Graphic Designer.  Initially I worked as a graphic artist in advertising and held multiple personal exhibitions in Italy (styles – Oil and finite detailed ink work, Watercolour and Acrylic). Post my arrival in Australia in 1987, I contributed to the Fine Art of Illustrations of the Current Australian, Papua New Guinea, Singapore Bank Notes and Australian/South Pacific postage stamps in Melbourne.

 

My travels continued to South East Asia where I acquired Korean/Chinese Rice Paper painting techniques, pottery and origami. I now live in Brisbane and continue my art with acrylic and oils on canvas and mix media. My art is inspired by travel by immortalizing people’s customs, views, habits, and culture, colours through the four seasons & light, architecture and their way of life.
